The story
Kaizer Chiefs have wrapped up their friendly matches in the Netherlands, with the club's attention now turning to the second edition of the Toyota Cup.
The Soweto giants will be back in action on 26 July when they take on Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko SC at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban.
Amakhosi registered just one victory in their five pre-season friendlies in the Netherlands, falling 2-1 to FC Twente on Wednesday, their last game of the tour.
While Nasreddine Nabi's men were concluding their pre-season camp, club legends Siyabonga "Bhele" Nomvethe and Stanton "Stiga" Fredericks kicked off a two-day visit to Ghana on Wednesday.
As stated in an article shared on Amakhosi's website, Stiga and Bhele visited Asante Kotoko's home territory of Kumasi for their first stop.
The club also mentioned that the visit forms part of their African footprint campaign, seeing the aforementioned legends participate in a community outreach programme, make a courtesy visit to the Ashanti King, and stop to check out the Baba Yara Stadium.
"The engagements were designed to not only promote the upcoming Toyota Cup match, set for 26 July at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban, but also to deepen cultural and sporting relationships between South Africa and Ghana," read the club's article on the legends visiting Ghana.
