The story
Orlando Pirates' Fortune Makaringe seems to have gone all out for his mother ahead of Mother's Day this Sunday.
The former Maritzburg United baller took to Instagram to share footage of his visit to the SuperSport TV studios in Johannesburg to be featured on a Mother's Day special.
Makaringe was accompanied by his brother, Mbongeni (former Swallows DDC player) and his mother to the SuperSport Unplugged podcast studios.
The Makaringe family were welcomed by SuperSport presenter Thato Moeng, who also had her mother in studio. The early Mother's Day affair saw Fortune hand over flowers and a gift bag to his mother.
The SuperSport Unplugged studio was transformed into a wholesome setting, displaying old pictures of Makaringe and a few of him and his mother.
"Skhokho sami, I hope you know you are blessed @fortune_makaringe11. Your mom is the real mother of the nation. She is now our mom. Such a special day. Best day of 2024 for me," wrote presenter Moeng in her IG story post, sharing a pic of her with Makaringe and his mother.
