With Hlompho Kekana recently netting a stunning free-kick goal, we compare it to one of Lionel Messi's most memorable strikes in the UEFA Champions League. Who, though, did it better?
Downs' win over Bloemfontein Celtic in the Absa Premiership on Wednesday night put them within four points of log leaders Kaizer Chiefs, and Kekana's goal in the 55th minute was the decider on the night.
Kekana, who is known for his powerful shots, decided to go with finesse in his free-kick against Celtic, and left goalkeeper Jackson Mabokgwane on his knees.

As for Messi, and in light of the UEFA Champions League returning this week, the Argentine's memorable free-kick against Liverpool last year once again made the rounds on social media this week.
Many considered Messi's effort against the eventual winners of the 2019/20 UCL tournament one of his best free-kick goals yet as he managed to find the back of the net from nearly 30 yards out.
