On Tuesday evening, Chelsea lost to Arsenal in the Carabao Cup, and fans on social media have been blaming Blues manager Antonio Conte, or more specifically his wig, for the defeat. Did you see what they had to say?
Some football fans are notorious for getting personal when things start to fall apart for their team. In fact, it was just two days ago that Manchester City star Leroy Sane was the victim of some hateful chants featuring rude claims about his mother from a section of Bristol City's support during a cup match.
Now the latest victim seems to be Chelsea manager Conte. It's public knowledge that the 48-year-old received a hair transplant a few years ago as a result of premature balding, and this personal detail was used as ammunition by some on social media to target the Blues boss after his men's loss to the Gunners on Wednesday night.
Referring to his now thick head of hair as a "wig", some fans claimed it was this that led to the club's defeat at the hands of their London rivals.
