Amakhosi's head honcho, Dr Kaizer Motaung, has been honoured by the University of Witwatersrand for his contributions to the beautiful game in South Africa
Kaizer Chiefs Chairman Dr Kaizer Motaung has been conferred with an honorary doctorate by Wits University for his contributions to South African football.
Having previously been honoured by the University of Cape Town in 2022 with a Doctorate in Social Science, "Chincha Guluva" was awarded his honorary doctorate on Tuesday afternoon as part of Wits' July graduation ceremonies and is one of two honorary doctorate recipients, alongside Mavuso Walter Msimang (Doctor of Commerce).
"Kaizer Motaung is an excellent footballer, a successful businessperson and soccer administrator, a philanthropist and a proud political activist," read an article shared on Wits' website.
"He has contributed to the betterment of South Africa, the development of soccer in the country, and the uplifting of disadvantaged youth, amongst his many other talents," continued the article that revealed the awarding of Dr Motaung's honorary doctorate.
