Clubs That Could Secure Pienaar s Signature

Clubs That Could Secure Pienaar s Signature

Steven Pienaar once again finds his career in a state of uncertainty, after his contract with relegated Sunderland came to an end. He has suggested that perhaps he could return to Mzansi, but which clubs could secure his signature?

The 35-year-old is currently in Mzansi where he hosted his annual tournament, and with it now having come to a conclusion; he has time to start thinking about his next step.

Below, are a few teams that stand a chance of signing him up:

Bidvest Wits
Simply put – they are the reigning Absa Premiership Champions, and it is largely considered an honour to play under a successful coach like Gavin Hunt.

Cape Town City
Benni McCarthy is the coach, and they both have Rob Moore as their agent. In order to maintain Cape Town City's success of last season, they will need all the reinforcements they can get, and "Schillo" will be a great addition.

Ajax Cape Town
If money doesn't play a part for Pienaar, then he could very well consider returning back to the club where it all started for him. The Urban Warriors are in desperate need of some experience and leadership in the squad, and the veteran could be the exact ingredient they need.

Kaizer Chiefs
The Glamour Boys' style of play will certainly suit Pienaar, and he could definitely be the marque signing the fans have wanted for several years now.

Orlando Pirates
The Buccaneers will be looking to add a number of additions to the squad, and with the winger having grown up as a Ghost, he may decide to fulfill his dream of pulling on their jersey.

Mamelodi Sundowns
If it's about money and trophies for the Johannesburg-born player, then Chloorkop is the way to go. However, he may not be guaranteed much game time.

Which club do you think will sign Pienaar?
