Mofokeng's Status Elevated After Latest Award Triumph

Relebohile Mofokeng was named the 2024 GQ South Africa Sportsperson of the Year.

Orlando Pirates starlet Relebohile Mofokeng has seen his status elevated following his latest accolade, further cementing his budding reputation in South African football.

The 20-year-old winger, who has been instrumental for the Buccaneers since his promotion to the first team in 2023, was honoured with GQ's Sportsperson of the Year award for 2024.

This recognition underscores his exceptional contributions on the field and his growing influence off it.  

According to GQ, its Men of the Year Awards honours South Africa's most outstanding individuals, "the ones whose influence spans across industries and whose contributions are shaping the cultural landscape of the nation." 

About Mofokeng, the publication stated; "Mofokeng's rise is a testament to his talent, dedication, and work ethic, setting him apart in a competitive landscape.

"With his dribbling, vision, and game-changing runs, he is undoubtedly one to watch as he continues to elevate his game on the global stage."

The attacker also bagged the Sports Personality of the Year accolade at the 2024 Gauteng Sports Awards.

This accolade adds to Mofokeng's growing list of achievements, highlighting his rapid ascent in the footballing world.

His performances have not only endeared him to the Orlando Pirates faithful but have also caught the attention of national selectors, earning him a cap for the South African national team.
