CAF President Patrice Motsepe promised that the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations would be the best ever, during the tournament's build-up and judging by the AFCON commercial growth, Motsepe was on to something.
CAF are building-up to the release of the official numbers of what they regard as "the most successful TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations" to date.

AFCON '23: CAF's Most Successful Ever?
Hosts Ivory Coasts completed a fairytale run at in their comeback, 2-1, win over Nigeria's Super Eagles in Abidjan, closing out a truly memorable continental showpiece.
24 countries treated fans with over 100 goals and a host of upsets un front of packed stadiums in the football-mad nation that is the Ivory Coast.
This year's AFCON also saw Bafana Bafana restore faith in South African football by securing an impressive bronze medal finish, with Ronwen Williams winning the Golden Glove.
Online, fans engaged with the tournament like never before, as CAF reported that the AFCON 2023 received around 2.1 billion impressions across all platforms online, boasting 2.2 billion video views.
On TikTok, this year's AFCON had a 3.6 billion spike in video views compared to 2021 edition and a staggering 12.5 million Instagram reels views.
"Commercial revenues increased by +26% from AFCON 2021. Ticketing revenues increased by 800% from AFCON 2021, a 1.2 million fan attendance improvement for this year's tournament.
In terms of CAF.online's website traffic numbers, they received 8 million page views, 2.6 million new users and the CAF Store garnered over 90 000 page views.
