Former Orlando Pirates head coach Jose Riveiro will be under pressure not to make history for the wrong reasons at Al Ahly, with his suitability set to be tested in the Club World Cup.
Given the volatility of coaching posts in North Africa, Riveiro will not want to become a coach with a shortest stint at The Red Devils, with expectations already heavy on his shoulders at the global tournament in the United States of America.
The record African champions have a rich history at the Club World Cup, as they have won the bronze medal four times, out of nine entries over the years.
Although it will be for the first time that the Club World Cup has been expanded from eight to 32 teams, the passionate fans of Al Ahly will be watching closely to analyse the suitability of Riveiro, who does not have experience in such tournaments.

Tau, who was part of the Red Devils squads that won three Club World Cup bronze medals in a row, has admitted that there will be a lot of questions raised on the Spaniard's capabilities, should the Club of the Century not make it out of the group stages.
"I think he will (survive if Al Ahly don't reach expectations at Club World Cup), remember sometimes when you need to get rid of the coach you have to pay them. I don't think they are in a position to keep the cycle going, they also want to be a stable club," Tau said on 947's MSW.
"We were stable with (former coach Marcel) Koller. He stayed his term, until he lost the CAF Champions League. If he (Riveiro) does not do well in the Club World Cup it's going to raise so many questions.
"In Egypt is another world. He has to do better at the Club World Cup. We were there, we took third place three times in a row. I think there will be expectations on him to do better than that, get out of the group. If not, there will be a lot of questions," the Bafana Bafana striker said.
Al Ahly will get their Group A campaign underway against Lionel Messi's Inter Miami on Sunday and will complete the section against Palmeiras and Porto.
