Junior 'Aghahowa' Khanye has made a shock prediction for the Soweto derby in the Carling Black Label Cup between Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs.
On Monday evening, the Carling Cup semi-finals were confirmed after the voting lines for the inaugural competition were closed on Sunday.

Amakhosi finished on top of the charts with over 460 000 votes and were followed by the Buccaneers with over 350 000 votes, while Mamelodi Sundowns came in third place with over 170 000 votes above fourth-placed AmaZulu who finished with over 140 000 votes.
The one-day football spectacle is scheduled to take place on November 12 and Khanye is predicting a victory for Bucs.
"First of all, this is going to be an exciting football event and I see it as a way of bringing back the Charity Spectacular of old. I didn't understand why the Charity Spectacular was cancelled in the first place for all these years. It was wrong and thankfully God has allowed for it to return because to me this is more like a return of the Charity Spectacular. Thanks to the PSL chairman and the board for bringing a tournament like this to the people. Without fans, football is nothing and we witnessed this during Covid when games were played in front of empty stadiums and it was so boring," said Khanye.
"I am very excited about the draw (between) Pirates and Chiefs, and the votes (is) proof that these are the two giants of African football. I would have hoped for Chiefs and Pirates to play in the final, but I think the organizers knew that it wasn't going to happen because Sundowns is too strong and would win against any other opponent to spoil any chance of that happening. My prediction is that Pirates will win against Chiefs, because in my eyes, Pirates is the second-best team in the league after Sundowns. Pirates has always been good although they erred at some point when they brought people like (Josef) Zinnbauer, Fadlu Davids and Mandla Ncikazi to take charge.
"But I have so much respect for Screamer Tshabalala because he is knowledgeable and understands football quite well. I worked with him at Chiefs. Floyd Mbele is another one and he was a student of Ted Dumitru, and you can see their influence on the players that get signed by Pirates and it's just that those players are letting them down at times. Even now, you can see that Pirates can compete with Sundowns pound for pound with the players they have. Look at the signing of Kermit Erasmus, one of the best in South Africa when we talk about strikers or a false number nine with identity of a Mzansi forward. Pirates is an entertaining team in how they play, and you need a skilful striker like Erasmus to complement their beautiful football," he said.

"On the other side, Chiefs haven't yet found their rhythm yet under Arthur Zwane, and I think he is still trying to find his best combinations. I foresee Pirates dominating Chiefs in the middle because Chiefs do not have players that cam stamp their authority in the middle, and they are not convincing because they concede goals in almost every game they play. I am convinced that Pirates will beat Chiefs 2-0 on the day," concluded Khanye.
