DStv Recruit Legend Line-Up…

DStv Recruit Legend Line-Up…

DStv 4K

Billions of fans around the globe and on the African continent have been waiting with great anticipation for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

It's now or never for either Cristiano Ronaldo or Lionel Messi to win the prestigious and elusive international tournament! Can Kylian Mbappe and the French national team defend the title they won four years ago in Russia? Will Brazil finally turn its fortunes around and win the tournament for the first time since 2002 in South Korea and Japan?

These questions and more will be answered in Qatar, and DStv will be there to bring you all 64  matches live on DStv Compact

Apart from the existing high-definition offering, SuperSport will, for the first time broadcast the entire FIFA World Cup in 4K, which is ultra-high definition and lends itself to fast-action sport.

In addition to broadcasting all matches in 4K, SuperSport will also bring you some of the best analysts, and studio guests like Jay Jay Okocha, Asamoah Gyan, Gaizka Mendieta, Owen Hargreaves, Michael Owen, and Jaap Stam.

Sunday, 20 November heralds the start of the tournament – with an opening match between hosts Qatar and Ecuador. From kick-off on Sunday until the World Cup is claimed by one victorious team on 18 December, the world will witness some of the best players this game has ever seen in action.

To watch all  matches in 4K, all you need is an Explora Ultra decoder, a 4K television, and either a Premium, Compact Plus, or Compact subscription.

Viewers who stream the tournament via Showmax Pro or DStv, will also be able to do so in 4K, provided they have a 4K television (or 4K-supporting media or TV box), and either a Premium, Compact Plus, or Compact subscription.

Even without 4K, however, viewers will experience high-definition viewing as standard, with all the detail and high quality to go alongside one of the most anticipated World Cups of recent years.

32 teams, 64 matches, and one trophy: Who will take it? Only time will tell…
