The Siya crew can reveal that Orlando Pirates midfielder, Thandani 'Bibo' Ntshumayelo has missed the trip to Mali to take on AS Kaloum Star in the CAF Confederation Cup play-off round.
According to Bucs' Public Relations Officer, Mickey Modisane the diminutive hard-tackling midfielder suffered an injury during a training session and failed to make a late fitness test ahead of the trip.
"It's unfortunate but Ntshumayelo suffered an injury during the preparations and could not make the trip with the rest of the squad," confirmed Modisane.
The Bucs squad departed for the West African nation on Wednesday and, as earlier revealed by the Siya crew, arrived in Dakar, Senegal at midnight where they caught a connecting flight to Bamako, Mali.
Pirates will play AS Kaloum Star on Friday, 15 May, at the Modibo Keita Stadium in Mali at 17h00 local time and 19h00 SA time.
