Thamsanqa Gabuza Speaks Of His Breakthrough

Orlando Pirates striker, Thamsanqa Gabuza has spoken of his eventual breakthrough at the Parktown outfit after a long and frustrating time on the sidelines. Read: Pirates CAF Group Opponents Confirmed The former Golden Arrows striker was almost loaned out in January, but has now found his scoring boots after netting three goals in two matches in the CAF Confed Cup campaign for the Buccaneers. The Ladysmith-born bulky marksman bagged a brace in Orlando Pirates' emphatic 4-1 win over AS Kaloum on Saturday afternoon to guide his team through to the CAF Confederation Cup group stages. Despite his lack of first team appearances since moving to Parktown from KwaZulu-Natal in 2013, Gabuza admitted to the Siya crew that it was a tough road but that he never stopped working hard. "I was going through tough times where I was not playing. I kept on working hard and I was very patient because I knew my time would come. The other strikers were doing well and I had to support them. Patience paid off for me and you can see what is happening now. I am scoring goals again," Gabuza concluded. The Buccaneers have been pitted against AC Leopards, CS Sfaxien and Zamalek in Group B.
