Thabo Rakhale Looks To Leave An Impression In Mali

With only hours left to their first-leg CAF Confederation Cup play-off tie against AS Kaloum in Mali, Orlando Pirates dribbling wizard, Thabo Rakhale has issued a warning that he intends to make an impression and help his side advance in the tournament.

Rakhale and Majoro rescue Pirates

Speaking to the Siya crew ahead of their away clash, the 25-year-old stylish midfielder noted that his aim is to play well and make a lasting impression on their opposition for the second leg.

"It's tough but we have to play in such a way that we leave a lasting impression on them so that they know what to expect when they face us at home," said Rakhale.

"We can't afford to give them an inch, we have to fight for every ball and win every challenge. They must remember they played Pirates after this match," concluded the tricky winger.

The Vanderbijlpark-born midfielder has already shown good form in the CAF Confed Cup with a goal against CF Mounana in their first leg encounter.

Pirates to offer Rakhale a new deal?

The crew earlier reported that the game will not be televised, however Pirates have confirmed supporters can get updates of the encounter on the club's official twitter account.

Kaloum gets the match underway against the Buccaneers at 17h00 (19h00 SA time).
