Orlando Pirates may reconsider loaning out their lanky forward, Thamsanqa Gabuza, following his impressive CAF Confederation Cup form which has seen the Soweto giants reach the group stages of the competition.
Gabuza: Patience Paid Off For Me!
Since joining the Buccaneers in 2013, the 27-year old former Golden Arrows man has struggled to cement his berth in the Bucs line-up, however in the CAF Confed Cup in recent weeks, Gabuza has displayed the potential which first got the attention of the Pirates technical team.
Gabuza's form in the CAF competition has seen him combining well with striking partner, Kermit Erasmus where he has provided two assists for 'KE95' and has himself netted three goals in two matches in the CAF Confed Cup campaign for the Buccaneers.
The former Golden Arrows man was nearly loaned out in the January transfer window, and with Abafana Bes'thende said to be after their former marksman, Pirates may reconsider loaning out the big forward especially in light of the injury-prone Lennox Bacela who has hardly featured this season.
Of the current strikers, Eric Tinkler has relied on Gabuza for aerial strength needed to compete in CAF tournaments.
