Ernst Middendorp Has A Player In Mind To Replace Ramahlwe Mphahlele At Kaizer Chiefs

Ernst Middendorp Has A Player In Mind To Replace Ramahlwe Mphahlele At Kaizer Chiefs
Ernst Middendorp has suggested that he knows who could come in to replace the injured Ramahlwe Mphahlele in the CAF Confederation Cup, with Kgotso Moleko left unregistered.   Read: Why Gordinho's Next Game Will Be For Chiefs...   The Glamour Boys go into action against Elgeco Plus this weekend in the first leg of their clash with the Madagascan outfit, and with their first choice right-back injured, Middendorp is left with a decision to make.   After giving him a starting berth against SuperSport United, the German praised Moleko for his performance on his return to the side, however he will be back out of the XI again this weekend as the club returns to continental action.   As reported by the club's official website, Middendorp suggested that Daniel Cardoso could fill the gap, saying, "I prefer not to change the starting XI that much. For example, Kgotso Moleko is a good player – however, he's not registered for CAF, which means that he won't be available for our next two games and that's a pity.   "I don't know at this stage how we will cover the right-back position in CAF with Ramahlwe Mphahlele out injured. But from the footage I saw, Daniel Cardoso came on after Rama got injured and did well, so that's an option.   "The progress will be steady and will not go smooth at all times. For now, it's one game at the time."   Chiefs host Elgeco Plus at Durban's Moses Mabhida Stadium tomorrow night at 20h15.
