Orlando Pirates interim coach, Eric Tinkler, has hailed the performances of Sifiso Myeni and Thamsanqa Gabuza, following their 3-0 win over CF Mounana.
The Buccaneers progressed into the next round of the CAF Confederation Cup, after they defeated CF Mounana 3-0 thanks to a hat-trick from Kermit Erasmus. "Sifiso Myeni was phenomenal tonight, the second pass for the second goal was really fantastic and Thamsanqa Gabuza also, he hasn't been playing regularly and tonight he really gave it his all and I was mightily impressed with his performance," Tinkler said. "But it's everybody, Happy Jele, he must be feeling like a yoyo, because one day he's playing right back, the next day he's playing center-back and the last two games he's fitted in their well. So very happy overall." Tinkler added that he needed the team to be tactically disciplined against the Gabonese.
"I'm very happy with the performance, It was important for us to play with a lot of intelligence, we needed to take advantage of the two goals that we scored away, so the tactical discipline in defence was vital today," he added.
"I said to the players, if we can get two quick goals, then we will settle, then they will find it a lot more difficult and then they will open and we will be able to catch them on the counter attack.
"At halftime I said to them it's still a dangerous result (2-0), because all they need to get now is another two goals and then they back into the game."
