Orlando Pirates could be well on their way to another final in a CAF competition, this according to Bucs legend Edward 'Magents' Motale.
Motale: Teams Can learn from Pirates
The Buccaneers departed for Congo today for their Group B CAF Confederation Cup tie against AC Leopards on Saturday, June 27, and the Bucs legend informs the Siya crew that the Soweto giants are looking to emulate their 2013 CAF Champions League run by reaching yet another CAF final.
"If you study Pirates and the way they are playing in the Confed Cup, you will see that in their away games they are scoring goals," Magents tells the crew.
"In these sort of competitions if you can score away goals and defend well at home as Pirates have done, than you build up the momentum that can take you all the way to the final!"
The 1995 Champions League-winning defender further commended some of the players who have slotted into the team with ease.
"I have been impressed with players like Thabo Rakhale who has just arrived at Pirates but is doing well in the competition. If you look at our players like Oupa Manyisa, Sifiso Myeni and 'Jomo', they are not physically big like some of their opponents but play to their strengths and that shows the confidence they have, " concluded Magents.
The match will be played at the Stade Denis Sassou Nguesso Stadium, and will commence at 15h00 local time.
