Orlando Pirates' second-leg victory against CF Mounana in the CAF Confederation Cup on Saturday means the Buccaneers are still on course to achieve African glory.
A hat-trick by Kermit Erasmus sealed Bucs' progression into the play-off, with the first-leg matches set to commence on the weekend of 15-17 May 2015.
Bucs legend Edward Motale, who was part of the CAF Champions League-winning squad back in 1995, revealed to the Siya crew that the Parktown-based club's performance in the African tournament was putting South African football back on the map.
"The South African soccer league is regarded as being one of the most financially viable leagues on the continent and yet the teams struggle in international club competitions," said Magents.
"I believe that Pirates are making their name in Africa once more and their performances are putting South African football back on the map.
"We need to get to a point where, firstly, a South African club wins the Confederation Cup as well as the Champions League and, secondly, get to a stage where we have more than one SA club in the quarter-finals and semi-finals," added the Bucs legend.
There are only eight teams left in the competition, and the draw for the play-off round will be held on 5 May 2015.
