The 2016 CAF Champions League winners, Mamelodi Sundowns, will find out their opponents for the 2017 edition of the tournament this week as they look to defend their title.
The CAF Inter-Club Draw Takes Place This Week

CAF Champions League
Sundowns became only the second South African club to get their hands on Africa's most prestigious club trophy earlier this year, and along with the cup and prize money, they also won a potentially simpler route into the 2017 group stages of the competition.
Pitso Mosimane's men will be joined by Bidvest Wits in the CCL next year, while SuperSport United and Platinum Stars will represent South African in the CAF Confederation Cup.
With more prize money on offer in both tournaments, there is a growing incentive to follow in Masandawana's footsteps and do well on the continent, with the Brazilians raking in about R46 million in 2016.
The Siya crew has had it confirmed that the draw for the CAF inter-club competitions will take place this Wednesday, with all four of Mzansi's clubs set to find out their potential opponents on the way to the group stages.
Unlike in previous years, the 2017 edition of the competitions will have four groups of four rather than two groups of four, giving an opportunity for clubs to play more games on the continent than before.
The draw will take place on 21 December, with the first round of games due to get under way midway through February next year. The group stage will start in May.
