Mamelodi Sundowns coach, Pitso Mosimane, believes that the gap between Southern African teams and those from other regions is starting to close, as shown in his team's wins in the CAF Champions League.
Sundowns Resume Training On Saturday
The former Bafana Bafana coach has said that it is evident that Western and Northern African teams are not as dominant as they have been in the past, in comparison to Southern African sides.
"You can see that we are closing down the gap between West and North to that of the South," he told journalists.
The 51-year-old went on to say that his team's wins in Tunisia, prior to Setif's disqualification, and in Egypt against Zamalek, are evidence of the shift in the power dynamic.
"We can now go to Setif in Tunisia and win," he continued. "We can go to Egypt and win. That just shows how far we have come and we will fight until the end."
