Thabo Nthethe has upped the stakes for Mamelodi Sundowns CAF Champions League match against Zamalek tonight by describing the clash as a cup final.
The PSL's Biggest Signings So Far
The veteran defender has said that, despite beating the Egyptian giants in Cairo, they will not leave any room for complacency and want a win to secure their place in the semi-finals - and to top their group.
"You know we beat them away and they will come here also looking for a win and we won't give them that chance," the 31-year-old told journalists. "We want to finish on top of the table and they also want that."
Booysen's Sundowns Situation Clarified
Nthethe went on to say that the game will be treated like a cup final and that a draw or a loss is not an option.
"This is like a cup final where no team wants to lose or draw. We are playing at home where we haven't lost in the CAF competition and we don't want to start today. We are obviously going for a win tonight," the former Bloemfontein Celtic defender observed.
