Masinga, who earned 58 caps for Bafana Bafana and enjoyed a successful spell in Europe with the likes of Leeds United, believes that the Sundowns players who have experience in international football will help them to make an impact in the CAF Champions League.
"I think Sundowns will do well in Africa," he told Soccer Laduma. "They have a lot of players that play international football, most of their players play for their national teams."
The 47-year-old went on to single out which players he thinks are capable of leaving their mark on this year's competition.
"You've got Khama Billiat who's been playing for Zimbabwe and also the likes of Dolly, Langerman and Kekana, who are with Bafana," he concluded.
