Following reports coming out of local Egyptian media, Mamelodi Sundowns have confirmed that Zamalek have not been in contact with the club regarding any venue change for the second leg of the CAF Champions League final.
Zamalek president Mortada Mansour has called for the second leg of the final to be hosted in Cairo instead of Alexandria, according to local reports coming out of Egypt.
Sundowns will take a three-goal lead into the return fixture when they travel away to Zamalek to face the Egyptian giants at the Borg El Arab Stadium on Sunday, 23 October.
Now, local media in Egypt have revealed that the president of Zamalek wants the venue of the second leg to be changed, moving it away from Alexandria to the hometown of the club and its fans in Cairo.

"I assure the (Egyptian state) President, Zamalek will win and I recommend him to attend the match. I'd like to send a message to the Minister of Interior telling him to stand by Zamalek and to agree to hold the match at Cairo Stadium." Mansour told local Egyptian media.
"I want 100 000 fans to be allowed to attend at Cairo Stadium to support the team. If my demands are met, I swear we will win 6-0."
The Siya crew contacted Sundowns' public relations officer, Thulani Thuswa, to find out if the club was aware of these reports.
"There has been no communication regarding venue change," Thuswa told the Siya crew.
It remains to be seen whether or not Zamalek are set to change the venue for the second-leg encounter of the CAF Champions League.
However, the Egyptian teams have become renowned for playing mind-games ahead of such big encounters, with Orlando PIrates having detailed numerous incidents, but as it stands Sundowns will look to remain unbothered as they go into the second-leg with a three-goal advantage over their North African rivals.
