According to the midfielder, Sundowns enjoy playing as underdogs in the competition. Despite causing an upset to Zamalek in their previous encounter and considering their record against South African teams, Masandawana have the least CAF experience in the group.
"Well, as Mamelodi Sundowns, we are an ambitious team with a lot of goals we'd like to achieve. It is not about the opposition but what we have to do in order to achieve our targets. Winning the Champions League is one of the goals we set ourselves this past season. We are seen as underdogs in our group considering the amount of experience these other teams have in this competition compared to us," the midfielder said in an exclusive interview with Soccer Laduma.
Kekana is determined to work hard as a team and Mosimane's side will look to continue on their winning ways as they edge closer to the semi-finals.
"All I can say is that we will continue to work hard and ensure that they don't score, while we look to get a goal or two," 'Gonzales' added.
Sundowns will welcome the Egyptians to the Lucas Moripe Stadium tonight, Wednesday 27 July, with the game scheduled to get underway at 19:30.
