Former Mamelodi Sundowns striker Carlo Scott, who featured for Masandawana in their 2001 CAF Champions League run, had a few things to say about the current Downs squad, who face Nigerian side Enyimba International FC tonight.

Leading into tonight's encounter, the former Masandawana player is confident that Downs will do well and showcase good South African football to the continent.
"They have a strong team and won the league last season. They are representing not only Pretoria but South Africa as a whole. I want them to do well because that will be a good show of South African football on the African continent," Scott commented
The former Masandawana striker, who featured for Downs in their 2001 CAF Champions League run when they faced Al Ahly and narrowly missed out on being crowned champions - revealed that he was impressed with the current squad under Pitso Mosimane and the way they dealt with ES Setif in Algeria.

"It's quite tough playing away from home and Sundowns did really well against ES Setif. The Algerians are a good team and they created a lot of opportunities. The only difference is that Sundowns converted their chances when they got them. Khama Billiat scored a good goal. It was a marvel to see his composure inside the box and how he slotted it away," Scott concluded.
