Former Banyana Banyana star, Portia Modise, has been given an ambassadors at the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup that is scheduled to take place in France

With Banyana having qualified for the World Cup, after they reached the final of the recently finished Africa Women's Cup of Nations in Ghana, Modise has now been recognised at international level for her role in the game during her days as the star for the South African senior women's team.

Furthermore, Modise has been invited to be part of Women's World Cup draw that is scheduled for the weekend.

The Women's World Cup in France has been scheduled for June 7 to July 7. 

Desiree Ellis' troop secured a ticket to next year's tournament after reaching the final of the Africa Women's Cup of Nations, where they ultimately lost to Nigeria on penalties.

The group stage draw for the World Cup will take place on Saturday, 8 December 2018.
