Desiree Ellis pays tribute to former female footballers

Banyana Banyana head coach Desiree Ellis has paid tribute to the footballers who've paved the way for women's football in South Africa.

Ellis recently made history when she guided the national team to their first-ever Women's Africa Cup of Nations title in Morocco last month.

Banyana were named CAF Team of the Year, Sundowns Ladies were named Women's Team of the Year (club) and Ellis won her third Women's Coach of the Year award.

"Thank you to all the women that have come before us," Ellis said, as per SAFA.net.
