Banyana Banyana secured a second straight win at the COSAFA Women's Championship after defeating Botswana 1-0 on Friday afternoon.
Desiree Ellis' charges came into the clash on the back of a 2-1 win over Madagascar on Wednesday afternoon, while Botswana defeated Malawi in their opening game.
The South Africans were without the services of Thato Letsoso, who was sent off in the opening group game.
Despite top spot being up for grabs, neither nation could carve out a serious chance in the final in the opening 30 minutes of the encounter.
Shortly before the break, Botswana were dealt a blow when Mogotsi had to be stretchered off and was replaced by Radikakanyo.
Banyana came out firing in the second half and managed to earn themselves a penalty after a handball in the box. Nompumelelo Nyandeni stepped up but saw her spot-kick saved.
The winning goal arrived with virtually the last kick of the game, with Jermaine Seoposenwe finding the back of the net with a header.
Banyana will now face Malawi in their final Group A encounter on Monday afternoon at 15h30.
