Banyana's Head Coach & Captain Made Their FIFA Votes This Year

Banyana Banyana's head coach and captain, Desiree Ellis and Janine van Wyk, lifted their own trophy recently, but who did they vote for at FIFA's The Best Awards?    Take a look at Ellis Van Wyk's Votes In The Gallery Above   Ellis and Van Wyk were called upon by FIFA to cast their votes for The Best Women's Player and Coach for this year's awards, with the two winners being crowned at the ceremony in London on Monday evening.    Read: Baxter Hlatshwayo Cast FIFA Votes...   It was Brazilian legend, Marta, who walked away with the award as The Best Player, while Frenchman, Reynald Pedros, lifted The Best Coach award after guiding Lyon to the UEFA Women's Champions League title.    Neither Ellis nor Van Wyk - who recently lifted the COSAFA Cup trophy - voted for Marta in their top three when they were given the chance to name their best players of the year, while both opted to include Pedros – though only as their third choice.    Ellis - 1. Pedros.   Each person's first choice was given five points, second place was given three and third place given one as the votes from head coach's, captains and journalists from all over the world were tallied together to crown a winner in each category.
