Two first half goals from Rhoda Mulaudzi and a third from second half substitute, Sibulele Holweni, were enough to hand Desiree Ellis' side a 3-0 victory on International Womens Day, and the clean sheet will have been welcome by Andile Dlamini as she celebrated her 50th appearance.

Banyana were without several key players who now ply their trade across Europe, but the local ladies were able to get the job done convincingly nonetheless, getting the year off to a fine start.

The likes of Janine van Wyk, Jermaine Seoposenwe, Leandra Smeda, Nothando Vilakazi, Refiloe Jane and Noko Matlou were all absent for various reasons, but they ran out convincing winners anyway.

Ellis will now be looking forward to the future with Banyana as more and more players make big moves overseas, and 2020 could well be an exciting year for South African women's football.
