Banyana Banyana began their Africa Women's Cup of Nations campaign with a 0-0 draw against Zimbabwe on Saturday evening.
The South Africans looked lively in the opening exchanges and had a couple chances, but Kgatlana and Motlhalo failed to convert.
Banyana carved out another opening after 25 minutes when Kgatlana teed up Nogwanya, who failed to hit the back of the net from point-blank range.
Dlamini then came to Banyana's rescue a few seconds later, as he produced a fine save to the Zimbabweans the opening goal.
The Mighty Warriors grew stronger as the half went on, but were up against an inspired Dlamini, who pulled off a few more vital saves.
Interim coach Desiree Ellis opted for a change 10 minutes into the second half, as Jermaine Seoposenwe replaced Nogwanya.
The chances continued to fall for Banyana as the second half, but Zimbabwe goalkeeper Chido Dzingirai was on hand to deny Kgatlana. While Seoposenwe also passed up a good opportunity in the closing stages.
Nonetheless, the score remained goalless at the full-time whistle, as Banyana begin the campaign with a point.
