Thulani Hlatshwayo Has Spoken About The Match Referee During Their Encounter Against Libya

Bafana Bafana captain, Thulani Hlatshwayo opened up about some of the official's decisions during the country's encounter against Libya on Sunday.

The South African national team booked their spot in the 2019 Africa Cup Of Nations competition that will be held in Egypt, this after defeating Libya 2-1.

However, the encounter was not short of a questionable decision from the match referee on the day.

Speaking to Soccer Laduma Radio, Hlatshwayo admitted that the team planned to avoid the referee on the day.

"I think the officiating wasn't that good, because there were a lot of incidents that happened. Popeye (Keet) went for the ball, the guy (striker) ran to Popeye and were really shocked to see a penalty given. We tried to avoid the referee as much as possible because we knew how important this game was and we knew that the referee was going to be emotional. We also had a goal disallowed, but we are happy to have scored a second goal and do well as a team," the defender said.
