Stuart Baxter named his Bafana Bafana squad today and Soccer Laduma takes a look at seven players who were excluded, as compared to the squad that faced Nigeria last year, November.
The South African national team will lock horns with Libya on March 24, in the final Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, where a draw or a win will book their spot in the Afcon competition that will be held in Egypt this year.
Baxter named a changed Bafana squad today, having left out seven players compared to his announcement when the national team draw 1-1 against Nigeria last year.

Here are the seven players who were excluded from Bafana's squad this time around:
Itumeleng Khune (Kaizer Chiefs)
The goalkeeper is currently nursing a shoulder injury that has ended his season.
Motjeka Madisha (Mamelodi Sundowns)
Madisha has not featured in Sundowns' last seven league encounters, with indications that the player is still looking to make a full return from a previous injury.
Ramahlwe Mphahlele (Chiefs)
Mphahlele has recently returned from a long injury layoff and has only returned to playing the full 90 minutes in the past two Absa Premiership encounters.
Fortune Makaringe (Maritzburg United)
Makaringe has been consistently used in the Maritzburg setup, however, the Team Of Choice is currently fighting for survival at the bottom of the league standings.
Siyanda Xulu (Maritzburg):
Xulu has been integral to the Maritzburg side, although also fighting at the bottom of the league standings.
Vincent Pule (Orlando Pirates)
Pule has also been consistently playing for Pirates as they fight for the Absa Premiership title, he has made 33 appearances in all competitions for the Bucs so far this season.
Dino Ndlovu (Zhejiang Greentown)
China League one, who Ndlovu plies his trade, has just begun their new season this month.
