With Stuart Baxter resigning last month as Bafana Bafana coach, several potential replacements have been suggested, one of them being Pitso Mosimane.
But the Mamelodi Sundowns coach on Thursday completely ruled himself out of the job in a detailed response to a question on whether he was keen on the vacant post.
This is what 'Jingles' had to say:

"I have done Bafana. I had my share, I was there for five years and I have benefited a lot at SAFA – they really helped me out to get where I am. I have been on the bench against Portugal, Germany, Spain. I have seen all these players, from (Cristiano) Ronaldo, (Andres) Iniesta to Luka Modric, what an experience I had to see all these teams playing with different tactics, different formations. I have admired, learnt and seen. And SAFA took me to Germany for two months to go learn and be a coach. I am humbled, and they gave me an African adventure. What was not nice is the way it happened, how they sacked me (in 2012). It wasn't nice. I don't believe a coach who plays for two years and loses two games should be fired. I was fired by a taxi owner and a priest, as well as a traditional chief (all SAFA NEC members). Do I want to face that again? My hands and my fate must be on those people's hands? Really? It's not good for football. I work hard, and do I want to have my career in their hands? I don't know who has replaced those people. I even begged them when they fired me. I said 'don't fire me, I have a lot to offer and I know what I am doing'. I played Senegal, Zambia, Ghana, Cote d'Ivorie and USA – unbelievable. I said I need to prepare the team properly. I brought (Thulani) Serero, Andile Jali, Daylon Claasen, Kermit Erasmus – I brought in a young generation that came from the U-23s. But because we were drawing and drawing, those people who are responsible to hire and fire, did not understand. What do they do Monday to Friday to decide on football matters? They don't have the ability. It was sad, and I begged them. I said I defeated Egypt, with the great Hassan Shehata and Mohamed Aboutrika – but they didn't know what I was talking about. Do I want to be in that situation again? It's still the same. I don't want to be there. I am happy at Sundowns. I have my Champions League, which is my AFCON, and I have my World Cup, which is the Fifa Club World Cup. I have a board that supports me. Once bitten, twice shy. I don't want my fate in the hands of those people ever again, never! I think the chance must be given to whoever hasn't been there."
