Kaizer Chiefs striker Ashley du Preez has been called up to the Bafana Bafana squad for the upcoming friendly matches against Sierra Leone and Botswana.
Du Preez has been included as a replacement for Belgian based Lyle Foster, who has been ruled out of the matches with an injury. The former Stellenbosch FC striker has made a fairly good start to life at Soweto giants Kaizer Chiefs, scoring two goals in six appearances for the club.

During the past weekend, the 25-year-old got his first assist of the season when he set up strike partner Bonfils-Caleb Bimenyimana for his first Amakhosi goal.
The call-up will certainly give Du Preez confidence as he continues to settle into life at Naturena. With the likes of Percy Tau, Fagrie Lakay and now Foster out of the current national team squad, Du Preez will have an opportunity to impress head coach Hugo Broos.
Broos did mention in the Bafana Bafana press conference on Monday that he is looking to give every player in the squad a chance to play in the two friendlies, which will both be played at FNB Stadium.

Bafana have also brought in experienced defender Siya Xulu, who is a replacement for overseas based Thibang Phete.
Bafana are scheduled to play Sierra Leone this Saturday and Botswana next Tuesday as Broos prepares for the back-to-back Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Liberia in March next year.
