Former Orlando Pirates striker, James Mothibi, says he is happy for Bafana Bafana's win over Libya on the weekend, although he was not impressed with how Stuart Baxter's team played.
Bafana beat Libya 2-1 in their Africa Cup of Nations qualifier in Tunis on Sunday and qualified for the prestigious tournament to be played in Egypt later this year.

Speaking to the Siya crew, Mothibi said he was impressed with Bafana's attacking football which led to Percy Tau's opening goal early in the second half of the match.
"I was very, very happy for Bafana Bafana. But from a coaching perspective, I thought there were moments when we looked like we were losing it in terms of how we changed our style of play after we scored. Leading up to when we scored our first goal, we were impressive – combination passes, possession football and so on," said Mothibi.

Mothibi believes that Bafana tried to be defensive after scoring the opening goal, and according to him, that nearly cost the team.
"After scoring, we wanted to kick the ball out of our 18 area quickly and we didn't want to build up from the back like we did before we scored. Those moments allowed Libya to come at us. Libya's strategy was very clear from the onset, they came to play crosses to our box. I was asking myself, 'Why aren't we closing their crosses and force them to play in the middle?' Had we closed the wings, we would have forced them to play penetrated passes and that would have allowed us to apply high pressure on them and catch them on counter attacks. That's the element I was concerned about," added the aspiring coach.
