Bafana Bafana head coach Hugo Broos has warned his players that there are still three games left in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign.
Goals from Mohau Nkota, Lyle Foster and Oswin Appollis guided South Africa to a 3-0 win over Lesotho in Bloemfontein on Friday evening.

“It’s a nice number, the other side the only thing that’s important is win the games we supposed to win and it was not so easy today. It was a very nervous game, you know what happened before. We did what we had to do and make beautiful goals,” Broos told SABC Sport.
Bafana sit top of Group C, five points clear of second-place Benin and nine ahead of Tuesday's opponents in Nigeria.
However, Broos insists the job is not done yet despite building a big lead in the group.
“We have to go on now that’s the most important thing, we still haven’t qualified even if we are in a very good position but there are still three games," he added.
“We are in a very good position. We have it in the hands and we will try not to give it away and in one hand we will have a very big party."
