Bafana Bafana head coach Hugo Broos admitted he was a 'little scared' after the referee suspended the game in the first half against Congo-Brazzaville.
South Africa secured their second win in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers after thrashing Congo 5-0 on Friday night.

The referee did suspend play midway in the first half after a couple fans invaded the pitch after Teboho Mokoena's second goal.
Broos was worried that the lengthy stoppage might have had an effect on his players.
"I can only be happy after a performance like this, I was a little bit afraid after 20 minutes when the referee decided to stop the game because we were on a good momentum and you never know after a break of ten or 15 minutes, what it will be," Broos told SABC Sport.
"But the boys immediately had the same mentality that they had from the beginning of the game, it was just a fantastic game and fantastic performance.
"We've been working for many months and years and everybody is happy with everybody. The mentality is fantastic, the quality is there also, a fantastic evening."
Bafana will be back in action on Tuesday against the same opponents, with Broos targeting another win.
"Tuesday is another match, we try to achieve six from six and to come from Congo with a qualification, it will be a different game certainly, on a different pitch also. We will see but if we can do the same performance as today we can win and let's hope we can achieve that," the 72-year-old coach added.
