Bafana Bafana head coach Hugo Broos has been commended for his decision on Themba Zwane.
After he was appointed as the coach of Bafana in 2021, Broos omitted Zwane from his selections and said he was old.

The Belgian mentor later changed his mind and included 'Mshishi', who was one of the best performers for Bafana during the recent Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast.
The coach admitted that he made a mistake when he didn't select the Mamelodi Sundowns star.

Former Polokwane City coach Innocent Mayoyo has commended Broos for changing mind on Zwane.
"Broos is one of the best coaches in the world. There was a time when Broos said Themba Zwane was old for Bafana Bafana. But he later changed his mind and that to me is a good example of a best coach. The fact that he managed to put his opinion aside for the best for the country makes him one of the best. That is a sign of a good coach. Most of the coaches are rigid and when they say something they don't change their minds," said Mayoyo.
