Despite Darren Keet's heroics in goal for Bafana Bafana this weekend, the shot-stopper maintains that he would never consider himself as being the number one.
Itumeleng Khune was absent from the Bafana squad and Keet was chosen to get the job done against Libya in the final qualifying match, with the Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper still nursing his shoulder injury.

Subsequently, Keet, Ronwen Williams and Bruce Bvuma were called on to step up to the task, with Keet being chosen in goal when Bafana beat Libya 2-1 on Sunday to book their spot in the Africa Cup of Nations competition this year.
Keet was hailed for his performances on the day, making crucial saves to make sure the South African national team walked away with all three points at the end of the encounter.
"I never look at it as if I am the number 1, everyone has to fight for their position. I don't look at myself as if I have to play, I have to make sure I am still working hard and at the end of the day the coach has to make the decision based on the game-plan he thinks will fit the game," Keet told Soccer Laduma Radio.

The 29-year-old then went on to explain that he had no idea why he was chosen ahead of Williams on the day.
"I have no idea, either one of us could have played…I knew that at any stage, either one of us could play. Obviously, the coach opted for me. There was no certain thing that made the coach choose me; in the end, you have to do the best you can," he said.
