The Siya crew understands Mamelodi Sundowns star Mothobi Mvala is set to make an immediate return to the national team when they take part in their final 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
Mvala has missed four of the AFCON qualifiers Bafana have played thus far due to injury, but indications are that Hugo Broos will have his trusted figure in defence for the clashes against Uganda and South Sudan in November.

Mvala returned to action for the first time this week in the Carling Knockout last 16 clash against Golden Arrows and capped off a solid performance with a goal in a 5-0 victory over the KZN outfit.
He featured again during midweek when Sundowns beat Royal AM 2-1 in the Betway Premiership, as the Tshwane giants returned to the top of the standings. The former Highlands Park star could play his third game in a row when Sundowns take on Polokwane City on Sunday.
Mvala's return is no doubt a big boost for Broos, who has worked with different central defensive pairings during the qualifying campaign.

In Mvala's absence, Kaizer Chiefs defender Rushwin Dortley has shown glimpses of brilliance, giving Broos more options. Dortley is expected to keep his place in the team, but Mvala's return could mean that Thabiso Sesane misses out.
