Baxter and his side have been hard at work this week in Johannesburg after they assembled for the first portion of their Africa Cup of Nations camp, with the head coach having to soon make a decision with regards to which players will be on the flight to Dubai and then Cairo later this month.

Bafana will face Ghana and Angola on the 15th and 19th of June respectively in the build-up to their opening AFCON game against Ivory Coast, and the head coach is currently putting his players through their paces under the watchful eyes of former national team players such as Andre Arendse and Mark Fish. When asked if he was any closer to selecting his final 23, Baxter told the media, "I'm trying to have an open mind… We've got the issues that we've got. I think I know what positions – because I can't go with like five right backs and one centre back – we've got to cut, but I'm having an open mind until the last minute so we don't anybody a disservice."Percy Tau was practising penalties...

With a handful of players battling niggling injuries over the course of the week, Baxter opted to give the whole team today (Thursday) off to recuperate after an intense first few days, and they will be back to the grind on Friday before leaving for Dubai on Monday.

Aside from Keagan Dolly, who has been withdrawn due to a groin injury, Baxter has no serious injury concerns at this point and will no doubt have some tough decisions to make as he makes a choice regarding those that will be on the plane next week.
