Thanks to their third-place finish in the Africa Cup Of Nations in January, Bafana saw an increase in both their CAF and FIFA rankings.
Prior to the tournament, Hugo Broos' side occupied 66th spot; however, the latest rankings show a significant increase despite a slight slip.
Bafana currently occupy 59th spot according to the latest rankings.
Morocco and Senegal occupy Africa's top spots in 13th and 17th worldwide respectively.
Reigning 2022 FIFA World Cup winners Argentina maintain their spot as the world's highest ranked team.
Bafana Bafana will face Nigeria and Zimbabwe in FIFA World Cup qualifiers later this year, and the fixture will be played in June, although the venues are yet to be decided. Positive results in those games could significantly boost Bafana's rankings.
