With some clubs expected to make changes in their technical teams in preparing for next season, a Zambian coach is linked with a move to Mzansi.
The coach is none other than former Orlando Pirates midfielder Perry Mutapa whom his representative has confirmed to the Siya crew that talks have already been started with clubs, as reported in edition 1189 of Soccer Laduma.
Mutapa is currently the head coach of Lusaka Dynamos in Zambia's topflight and has previously also coached Forest Rangers, which is the former club of Pirates winger Austin Muwowo.
The 40-year-old mentor's agent, Francis Sakala, confirmed interest from Mzansi in the coach.
"There are two teams that are interested in him and we are in discussions with them. For the past five years or so, Perry Mutapa has done well here. He improved the Forest Rangers team which used to fight relegation and they came out in second position this past season in Zambia," said Sakala.
"It was Perry Mutapa who structured that team before he departed for Power Dynamos. He is the best up-and-coming coach in Zambia. His football style is like that of Mamelodi Sundowns – the way Pitso (Mosimane) likes his team to play. Forest Rangers under Perry Mutapa played like Sundowns," the intermediary added.
