Former Real Madrid star Xabi Alonso refused to be drawn on who he thinks the better manager between Bayern Munich's Pep Guardiola and Jose Mourinho is.

The Spaniard has often said Guardiola was the sole reason for him leaving Madrid for Bayern, but when asked who he thinks the better boss between his current manager and Mourinho, who he played under at Real, is, Alonso refused to answer.
"I'm proud of the coaches I've had but I won't say whether Mourinho's better than Guardiola," he told AS.
"In any big club, there's criticism when you don't win.
"We have a great coaching staff. Bayern are a big club and there's a lot of demand."
Guardiola has faced a lot of criticism in the past few months at Bayern, so much so that he recently slammed rumours of there being any trouble in the team's camp.

After spending five years with Los Blancos, Alonso joined Bayern before the 2014/15 season and played 41 games, scoring four goals and providing five assists in that campaign.
