UFS Looking To Clinch Win In Cape Town

Kovsies will have to deal with UWC and the Cape winter in their Round Three Varsity Football clash in Bellville.   The Free State side bounced back from their opening defeat to defending champions UP-Tuks by beating Limpopo 2-0 at home last week, and now their challenge is to prove they can do the business on the road.   They face a UWC side that has not yet tasted victory, and will be hungry to do so in front of their home crowd after an opening 2-2 draw with UJ and a hard-fought 1-0 defeat to NWU in Mafikeng.   The hosts will still be without influential captain Cleo Popkas, but they will also know that defeat in this match will make qualification for the play-offs a seriously uphill battle.   Kovsies coach Godfrey Tenoff is expecting the conditions in Bellville to play a ig role as well and says his side have been planning accordingly.   "It will be tough playing against a really good team and I believe the weather could be a determining factor.
