The Portuguese scored five goals in four matches in the competition but has not made UEFA's official Team of the Tournament, with Belgium striker Romelu Lukaku picked ahead of the Juventus man.
France midfielder Paul Pogba, whom many believed was in contention for the Player of the Tournament award before Les Bleus were eliminated, was overlooked in the middle of the park, with Italy's Jorginho featuring alongside Denmark's Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Spain wonderkid Pedri.
The Barcelona teenager impressed with his performances over the course of the month, having started all of his country's games and earned incredible praise from manager Luis Enrique, who claimed he has not seen displays like Pedri's from any youngster in world football, not even legendary midfielder Andres Iniesta.
