Zinedine Zidane's transfer from Juventus to Real Madrid cost Los Blancos €73.5 million back in 2001 and set a world record which stood for eight years.
In June 2009, Real Madrid signed Cristiano Ronaldo for €94 million, but this record was broken when Gareth Bale moved to Bernabeu four years later.
