The agent of Edwin Gyimah has issued a sincere apology to the management of Black Leopards after the Ghanaian went AWOL.
Gyimah was a noteable absentee for Leopards as they kicked off the bid for survival in the Premier Soccer League with a 1-0 win over Ajax Cape Town on Wednesday.
It is understood that the temperamental defender left the Leopards bio bubble following the last day 3-0 defeat against league champions Mamelodi Sundowns. It is believed that the defender was furious after learning that the club would compete in the relegation/ promotion playoffs and refuted to stay on .
Now, his agent Ratshibvumo Mulovhedzi of Rush Hour Sports, who is still unaware of the 29-year-old's whereabouts, has distanced himself from the player and has issued an apology to the Leopards management.
"I don't want to say too much, but I am distancing myself from Edwin Gyimah. I wont comment about him leaving the club but what I need to do is humbly apologise to Black Leopards, because they told me about his history, and I told them that the player has changed. So I would like to apologize to the Chief (Thidiela) and Elijah who made things happen for him at the team.
"I want to apologise for the pain he has caused the team because whatever he has done there has also damaged my image as an agent," Mulovhedzi told the Siya crew.
The former Orlando Pirates man was a regular for Lidoda Dhuva this season, making 23 appearances in all competitions as they ended in second-last place on the Absa Premiership log standings.
